Brooklyn’s own Body Language has risen from the DIY venue basements armed with the kinetic dynamite you would expect from the name. Their original music was born from weekly dance party remixes crafted by Grant Wheeler and Matt Young, and graced by the soul stylings of Ms. Angelica Bess.  Upon arriving in Brooklyn, the trio found themselves backing Theophilus London dressed as ‘The Lovers’ and also collaborating with Passion Pit frontman Michael Angelakos on several cuts off of their highly-acclaimed full-length, Manners.  Their efforts, which illustrated this arrival to Brooklyn, were delivered in a five track EP called “Speaks”.  In 2010, the group spent time touring with Zero 7, Sia and Two Fresh.  They also opened up for the likes of Passion Pit, La Roux, Neon Indian, Toro Y Moi and Little Boots.  After critically acclaimed (in the blog world) remixes for Neon Indian and Toro Y Moi, Body Language have emerged with a new collection of work called ‘Social Studies.’
